How does the verification process work?
Step 1
Donors are sent to a collection site for drug testing.
for various reasons such as pre-employment, random, post-accident,
or follow up screening.
Step 2
Specimens are sent to the laboratory.
Negative specimens typically take 24-48 hrs to process
while Non-negative results may take 3-7 days depending on the drugs identified.
Step 3
The MRO verification and reporting process begins
results are reported to the MRO. The MRO will review
the collection process and contact the donor to go over any possible
medical explanations for the results, after which results are verified and sent to the employer.

Why do MRO services matter?
If you are a clinic that performs drug screens, you will find that handling your drug screen results in house can be much of a hassle.
For one, the daily task of receiving, organizing, and sending drug screens can be cumbersome and will end up tying up your staff from other clinic duties. Additionally, storage of such drug screens and keeping up with regulations can be a challenge. Lastly, many clinics run into the problem of not being able to sign off results and send reports 7 days a week, as many times their weekend staff is not trained to handle drug screens. This results in reporting delays that can be problematic. For Employers, interpreting lab results and investigating donors' medical conditions and medications can be daunting and best avoided.
